Commerce - Is this Progress?

Barges of all shapes and sizes are pushed up and down the Nanticoke River by a number of different tugs. Many of these barges are so large they can hold as much as 150 tractor/trailer loads of material. When anything this size hits (or comes close to) a structure or shoreline, it does damage.  Notice in the photos below how close the barges/tugs are to structures or the shoreline!
